Systemic Vascular Resistance (SVR) (Last Updated - 8/15/2007)

-calculation is based on a variant of Ohm's Law:
     R = Change in pressure / Flow (Q)
-SVR can be given in either PR (Peripheral Resistance) Units: mmHg / mL / s or
     in CGS (Centimeters, Grams & Seconds) Units: dyne * s / cm5
-the form below uses the equation:

     SVR = X * MAP(mmHg) - RAP(mmHg)
                              CO(L/min)

     -where MAP (mmHg) = Mean Arterial Pressure
               RAP (mmHg) = Right Atrial Pressure
               CO (L/min) = Cardiac Output

               For PR Units --> X = 0.06
               For CGS Units --> X = 80
